Secret Garden’s New Look

So, you might already know I’m a tiny bit Victoria’s Secret body mist OBSESSED. :deco13: Hahahaa~ The amount I own is more than any one person could use in a lifetime. That said, I’m a bit… taken back… with the new look the Secret Garden collection was given. :drops: All that iconic value has been lost for me. :ng: Not only is the bottle shaped differently, reminds me of Body Fantasies old bottle shape, :deco13: but the overall image was changed as well.
I think just the bottle shape is what gets me the most. The graphics are quite different too. I dunno, it comes off as looking cheap to me like drugstore body spray. Or more Bath & Body Works looking maybe??? Which I know they have a relationship with, so maybe that was the point? I was just such a lover of the old bottles & this is just mini-traumatic for me. Though to be honest, the old look wasn’t all that stellar either, a bit boring. :deco13: lolol lolol
I wish they had just done something along the lines of the limited edition design they did for Love Spell this Valentine’s Day!?
THAT DESIGN WAS GORGEOUS!
At least I bought more than enough this past year that I don’t have to think about it really, hahahaaa! Now that I look at it more the new look isn’t so bad in photo side by side comparison. I think it’s just so much changed I hardly recognize it. In person it’s a bit more confusing to walk into the store and be met with CHANGE, hahaha! Wall to wall floor to ceiling CHANGE. Like the old design never existed! Ha! :P
BUT the good news is!!
Right now all the old bottles are on a 75% off sale!!!!! :celebrate: I picked up a couple of body wash, fragrance mists, and lotions this weekend at around $2.00 each :ok:
And on the subject of good smelling things…
OK, I honestly thought this said “Strawberries & Creme” when I bought it! HAHAHA! :deco13: But when I was putting it up today I realized nope. But it’s fine. :ok: I bought it in a total rush and also because the description had the words “hydration,” “shine,” and “volume” which is sometimes difficult to find promised in 1 bottle! :deco8: HA! It’s sulfate free which is good for colored hair. Though if you can tell lately, my chocolate brown is somewhat faded. I don’t even have noticeable roots because it’s faded to being pretty close to my nature color. Maybe just a few tones darker & reddish instead of golden. Oh well. ::9: I might re-color come winter. I still like it so it’s all good. :ok:

Im using herbalessences which has a rose smell. It’s pretty cool I love how its smell :)
I used to use that!!! But sadly Herbal Essence leaves my thin hair looking… thin. They always had the best scents though! Mmmm rose :)
OMG I love the smell of Organix products (esp the coconut!), just wish it was a bodywash because the conditioner did nothing for my hair :( My co-worker has a VS spray and it smells so nice and sweet, I should really ask her which one it is since the bottle is unmarked now.

I remember I had this FAAAVORITE smell from Bath & Body Works, something weird like Ylang-Ylang Myrrh or whatever. Then one day I walk in and all of those bottles are in the discount bin because they aren’t going to be making that scent anymore!!!!! I was so not happy that I bought like 8 bottles of that one lotion and one of the sprays. I never ended up using all the lotion because I “grew out” of the scent…but wow, how we get attached to things like that!
WE DO; I DO. B&BW did that to me with their deodorant. Back in HS their cucumber melon deodorant was amazing (um, I had troubles finding a deodorant to keep my hormonal body dry back then *embarrassing.*) and I too saw them in the discount bin! I could have diiiiiied. I bought as many as I could afford. Eventually… life moved on LOL
If you really like the old design of the bottle would it be possible to just pour in the mist liquid? So you could reuse the bottle? =D

I used to have that shampoo; It was my favourite! Until my Mom got me some sweetarts smelling shampoo. But its almost out, then I can get more of the Cherry Blossom shampoo! Yey!

Its the Sexy hair series its called Silky Sexy Hair Shampoo/Conditioner for Thick/Coarse Hair. It has a dark purple bottle.
I don’t have thick/coarse hair but my hair dresser wanted me to have something that wouldn’t fade the color in my hair. It was either this or a banana smelling one. She also managed to get both of the 1L bottles for under $20.
Also I have a question, You use WordPress right? Would you recommend it? I was thinking about switching to WordPress but I dunno if its worth it.
I use it because I like having full control over all the code. Mine is a separate wordpress installation for my domain specifically, rather than a blog hosted at wordpress.org, so there’s a difference there too.

Usually I just pick out one scent I like, but you have so many. I should check out VS and see what they have. I’ve always loved grape and pear.

Jenny, what’s your favorite collection from Victoria’s Secret?! How do you like the Pink products? I agree I’m disappointed in the new packaging. The old sprays were charming and unique to the brand. I guess we have to adapt to the changes! I also bought crop tops from them, they are super cute!

My favorite collection hmmm. I tend to like the limited edition ones (FML.) Enchanted Apple & Delicate Petals were my favorites. But I will always like Love Spell too because I found it back when they only had “Secret Garden” and like 4 main scents.
I like the PINK products too but not quite as much. They tend to be a bit more musky or sporty smelling. But I do have a mini collection of them AND (ok, thinking now, I own a lot of them!) My favorite is Sweet & Flirty (but I also have Bold & Playful) and their big pump lotions I HIGHLY recommend because it doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. The newer scent from PINK I like is Sunny & Happy. The new Aloha ones were nice too & I bought them for my friend who LOVES Hawaii.
Did you ever snag any of the “Secret Moments” collection? I loved ALL of those. I bought every single mist :X
yes! The PINK crop tops are basic and come in different colors. I got the peach coral and black to wear on top of dresses. They were $26 dollars for two of your choice :) I haven’t tried too many VS body mists and lotions. I bought the very sexy now purple shimmering body lotion, and it has a very addicting smell haha. I also tried the feel rich and indulge and the apple perfumes. I really want to try the Love Spell. So now I’m hunting some down on amazon. The only real sales they had was the animal print ones, and I wasn’t really drawn to the scents. I’m so mad :( planning to stock up, but now they changed it to this nonsense. It’s like the old lady version of VS…….. as for the Pink line, I really only like their clothes and totes.
yeah i felt meh about b&bw new look but im pretty indifferent about it all…i dont think i’m drawn to either design from a designers point of view, but i dont know what could make it better. I bet the concept art was badass….

Woah! Your collection is so big! I wish I was into fragrances, but these days I’ve been going to the gym so much that I think it’s better if I leave my body sprays at home… LOL
Ahh! So everyone online is crazy about body mist (particularly VS ones haha) so I went on a rampage and bought a bunch that smell really nice. But I never end up using them – I usually end up defaulting to my perfume! When/how do you usually wear yours?

LOL, well. I bought all mine when I went through this “I sorta don’t like my perfumes anymore” stage. And suddenly I wanted to be able to change scents midday, blah blah. Lately I spray perfume on in the morning but at work I spray VS mist too on myself or just in my space b/c it’s stale air LOL. I then spray some on when I get home after work & change into comfy house clothes. Then usually again at night before bed. I use some as room fresheners too :P

Awh, I love VS scents. :) I have to say, though… I think the new bottle looks nicer and a lot more chic than the old bottle! But, that might just be me. Hmm.
I have that exact same shampoo! My boyfriend has used their green tea and pomegranite shampoos for as long as I have known him, and he eventually converted me to trying it. I don’t regret it a single bit.
And, I have to say, I love it to bits. It’s incredibly truthful to what it says it does and the scent lasts a very long time! I went camping once and was unable to wash my hair for a few days, but the scent didn’t fade, at all. I love it.

Yea I have a conditioner of this shampoo brand and now I have the shampoo too!! So far I liked the conditioner so here’s hoping the shampoo is just as great!
I haven’t tried any of the Organix conditioners, I swear by my Creme of Nature, but I wouldn’t doubt that they’re just as wonderful as the shampoo! :)
I just recently got into the VS smell good goodies, since they had that super awesome 10 things for $40 sale to make headway for the new design… Can’t believe I waited this long to get into them! THEY SMELL SO GOOD ^_^

The change doesn’t really bother me. I don’t really like the Secret Garden collection. My nearby VS had the 75% sale off that collection 3 weeks ago and I spent about 30 minutes sniffing all the scents but I only like one scent.
Ahhh I just saw that shampoo a few days ago when buying toner for my hair xD
I don’t mind the change much, although the shape looks weird. It looks difficult to hold… I dunno, it’s just me maybe o 3 o

It just looks tiny but it’s still 13 oz and was cheap. $6 at CVS I think. But really I don’t like it so much. I think it’s making my hair look greasy and lots if fly aways x(

I am sooooo disappointed with the new VS Garden Collection being changed :( IMO the packaging looks cheap and the scents are NOT long lasting. In like 3 hours I can no longer smell the scents on me. With the old collection the scents were stronger and longer lasting. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! What a way to try to fool people. You know-cut cost by making cheaper looking packaging and “watering down” the scents to save money. I’m not going to waste my money on it. Instead of buying $50 worth of lotions and sprays from VS I plan on just adding a little more money and getting a nice perfume like Juicy Couture or whatever.
