Citrus Mint COOL Bison Bath Salt

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 | 29 Comments

爆寒湯 COOL りらっくスー

I mentioned wanting to try these cooling summer bath salts from Bison and I found them available at sasa.com. They’re like their usual popping germanium bath salts only this series has a cooling sensation added in for summer.

I tried the green packet or “Citrus Mint” recently. It contains germanium, sea salt, peppermint oil, grapefruit extract, and collagen.
Its main focus is on being relaxing and skin firming.

The salts smell super minty and fresh! When you add it to the water it changes to the “relaxing green” color and the scent fills the room quickly. It’s really refreshing and makes you think “cooler” thoughts. That included crackle or “pop” element is there just as before and accompanied by the addition of peppermint so your skin feels super cool. It also does a great job at leaving your skin firm and tight! Great, great summer bath item addition~ I wonder what they’ll do for next summer Perhaps add more available scents?

Currently Citrus Mint version is still highly rated at cosme.net with 6.5 out of 7.0

This sounds really good~

But for some reason, I keep thinking it looks like a dry, just-add-water powder for a really delicious, refreshing, melon-y drink. -__-

I’ve never tried bath powders before — we only use the shower at my apt, never the bath :(

But these cooling salts look much more pleasant than the hot bath salts you’ve reviewed before!

I didn’t think of that but honestly I totally see it now! It does. Like some fancy Crystal Light!

Omg, why did I think it was a drink. I saw citrus and mint and I immediately thought of tea. What is wrong with me, hahahaha.

Hahha I can’t believe the first two comments both say it looks like a drink! I should add a disclaimer maybe xD DO NOT INGEST!

I bet this is wonderful. I want some now. It might be good for sunburns if its cooling.

Perhaps~ though it might be too intense for sensitive sunburned skin. I’m not sure =Y

i bought one of every kind of these bison bath salts, thanks to you! c: lol do they have an expiration date? is there some sort of way to tell? i should’ve ordered these earlier so i could use the cooling salts during the summer, but the summer is almost over ):

Good question… I don’t see one and I’ve used one a year after buying it (I did a huge bison haul 3 years ago) and it worked fine. They’re individually sealed so they should be fine. The only ones I’d worry about are ones in tins/jugs because they might get moisture in them once opened.

I’m glad you reviewed these!

I succumbed and added this variety to my recent bath salt order but then have worried about it since… belated buyers remorse

Luckily it sounds as though they’re pretty good. I’ll save trying mine until the weather heats up here though…

Oh no worries! So far it’s the highest rated bison salt on cosme.net

Definitely use for when you’re feeling overheated though, they’re intense!

*sigh* your bath posts always make me want to scrub my tub squeaky clean, and then take a looooong soak~! =D

Is it just me or do you often blog about bath salt?
I love bath salt but since I moved 2 years ago we only have a shower, no bathtub (╥_╥) So it’s like frustrating lol. Don’t mind me.

Anyways, I wanted to ask you if you could recommend a couple of blogs that’s into… well the stuff you’re into too, I really enjoy following you! Been doing for 2 years now (blogs, only place you want stalkers lol)

No, bath goods are one of my all time favorite “hobbies” so I blog about them a lot! I used to even have a separate page for them — http://sushi-cat.net/onsen

I just bought these at my local Asian market and I was wondering, do I use the whole packet or just a little bit?

A fair question! You pour in the entire pack 1 pack = 1 bath

I really love the idea of these however the mint part keeps me from trying them! lol
This might be a dumb question, but even if the water is hot does it keep your skin feeling “cool”? Or do you take it with cooler bath water?
