I’m here

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011 | 56 Comments

Hello hello. I’m around and not dead yet. It was a holiday weekend. Though extremely rainy Blah weather and blah feeling. I was coming down with something at the end of last week but took some medicine and am feeling better now. Just in time for a busy week.

Tomorrow I have a security conference to attend. BUT, despite the forecasted rain, I’m thinking of seeing if the nearby Zara’s has the dress I’m wanting. It’s literally around the corner from the conference and we have an hour for lunch. They don’t provide lunch and the food court within the building becomes a madhouse! I’ll just bring something I can walk & eat lol.

Then Thursday I have jury duty selection~whatever to go to. Really hope I’m not picked as a juror on whatever case it might be. The courthouse is so far from my house and a pain in the ass to get to.

Then it’ll be Friday already. Wow.

Warming, chamomile scented eye mask. Used it Friday night for a headache.

I didn’t do too much interesting this weekend since I was feeling sick. Sunday was our 3 year wedding anniversary so we went out to eat. Then yesterday I managed to clean the house and my closet. I was feeling really motivated since last week to do a autumn overhaul of my clothes/shoes/etc. There wasn’t a whole lot to go through. Ended up with a bag of clothes to donate plus a few items I’ll either give to my sister or sell. Two tops and a skirt are WC brand which my sister couldn’t care less about so I thought I might sell them. I don’t want to sell them for a lot but I feel badly for international buyers who might be interested because shipping alone is so balls expensive. So we’ll see.

Saturday’s outfit. I went shopping or something. I forget~~

This was Sunday! I remember that much!

Oh hey I bought this Burt’s Bees hair care because Sidney mentioned it!
I’ve been using it for 2~3 days now. I’m liking it so far. The first thing I noticed was my hair was SO SHINY again! It seems a bit more voluminous too. Nothing drastic but enough that I’m happy. It smells really good too. The shampoo was really different from other stuff I’ve used. It’s very runny and the texture is different when massaging it into my hair which to me was a good sign. I was GLAD it seemed different because I didn’t want same ole same ole.

Also bought some anti-frizz stuff (my hair is damaged more than usual after perming & coloring this year) and I got some highly review & recommended eye treatments from Olay! A bit difficult to find but even after two nights of using them I can see a difference!

I did buy some brown opaque tights this weekend that would look great with my make believe ZARA dress. Seriously. If I can’t find it tomorrow I’m convinced I was just delusional and it never existed.

You’re using Burts’ Bees!!!! Hurrah! I keep trying to get everyone I know to use it because I think it’s just so awesome for your hair.

I LOVE the top in that first photo; lacey, flowy tops are my weakness these days T T

Good luck on finding your dress & congratulations on your 3 year (wedding) anniversary with Mike ^^

It, at the very least, smells wonderful and added shine Instantly! They have a moisturizing version too apparently.

Yeah it was this gold threaded cable knit dress! I was hoping it would be online but from what I could tell it wasn’t. I could have also been remembering wrong. But we’ll see. The F St ZARA is ballin to visit anyway! It’s huge!!

I totally need to try that out !! @ A @ My hair is super damaged after all that bleaching and dying I did over the long weekend ; 3 ; My mom gave me some argan oil for my hair which made it super soft ~ But I need a little more oomf since my hair is flimsy and just plain nasty…

jenny said

They have a moisturizing one too. Maybe get the volume shampoo but moisturizing conditioner? I dunno

D’aww! Happy anniversary to you and your husband! I didn’t know Burt’s had a shampoo line (clearly, I need to go out more). I should check that out!

I am LOVING what you are wearing. I’d also like to check out what you have decided to sell *wink wink*.

September 9, 2011 @ 8:01 pm

I didn’t know either! Sidney had to tell me .

Ah yes. Well I was getting together the items. Looks like 3 WC items, maybe some never used SBY hair accessories, a leather vest, and a cool lace cut out top. I wouldn’t have time this weekend to ship anything out but by next weekend hopefully!

I love that flowly earthy top you have on in the first photo! Gorgy! Obviously I use that word to often LOL If the burts bee shampoo/conditioner is that good then I need to pick it up, but I feel like Im cheating on my Tsubaki set….yes Im emotionally attached to inanimate objects lol it’s bad….

September 9, 2011 @ 8:02 pm

Awe thank you, it’s from Dazzlin. It’s a bit thick so it’s better for cooler days

Yeah I switched off Tsubaki for now and onto this.

I love your saturday outfit!!
so frilly and girly

oh and very random but i would highly recommend this mask

http://www.amazon.com/Nano-Gold-Collagen-Crystal-Mask/dp/B0037FP10E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315380516&sr=8-1

it makes your skin feel so soft and white !!
works for whitening too! love it!!

i have too much volume so the shampoo might not work for me -___-
but interested in the john-frieda frizz-ease thing.
is it good??

jenny said
September 9, 2011 @ 8:06 pm

That sounds luxurious :3

Burt’s Bees has a moisturizing shampoo too apparently.

I haven’t used the Frizz-ease stuff very long so I can’t say whether or not I recommend it.

I love burt’s and bees stuff! very effective and they use mostly natural ingredients. The regenerist eye cream looks promising! i’ve been hearing raves about the regenerist line actually. They say it beats more expensive brands.

jenny said
September 9, 2011 @ 8:08 pm

Yea I actually got the Olay stuff because it was 1/2 the price of my usual Boscia Enlivening Eye Cream and so far I’l liking the results

I’m in the market for a new shampoo, but alas my hair is so damaged from coloring last year and then two perms. Ugh. Would you say the burt’s bees is moisturizing enough for someone with damage?

Good luck finding your dress~

jenny said

They have a moisturizing shampoo too which would probably be more of what you’re looking for

I hope that you found the Zara dress! (I definitely can relate to that feeling - a few times I browsed the online store and then went in store to find the items, since I like to try them on and stuff before actually purchasing them. And they were out of stock in the 3-4 stores I went to.. T_T I think I just convinced myself that it’s probably not meant to be, though I did so grudgingly )

I didn’t know Burt’s bees had a hair line. I thought they sold hand cream + lip balms! Would love to try them, but I think I have a tiny pile of shampoo collection going on here which I have yet to use, ha! The next one I have yet to try (currently sitting in my cabinet) is the Tsubaki shine line~ Heard real good reviews on that one too!

I always love loveee your outfit and makeup of the days! And congrats on the 3 year anniversary!

Oh dear, just reazlied I’ve been rambling on and on and on..

Ah Tsubaki is great, you’ll love it I’m sure!!

Oh you’re trying Burt’s Bees shampoo? I’ve heard it’s great! Is it because it’s sulfate free - do you normally use sulfate free shampoo?

jenny said
September 11, 2011 @ 9:16 pm

I’m trying it because a friend recommended it and I’m always in need of volume. I don’t strictly stick to sulfate free though unless my hair has recently been colored or permed.

I went to Zara earlier, they have many beautiful dresses but I don’t know which one you’re talking about (and I’m not even sure if they have the same clothes in Zara France and Zara US) ~
Anyway, your first coordinate is really pretty and I love the blue top you wear in the second one

You should try the other Olay Regenerist products. I love the sculpting cream and their moisturizer with SPF. Good stuff.

jenny said

I might have to since I’m so happy with this! But my Mom is severely allergic to Olay products so I’ve avoid them for that reason.

September 11, 2011 @ 9:19 pm

Yeah it is! Just like their other products. It has a different “feel” to it too actually and already I’d say I recommend it if you can find it. I actually started getting compliments on how glossy my hair looks lately O_O;; *is shocked
