Canmake Cheek & Cheek

Friday, September 23rd, 2011 | 37 Comments

CANMAKE has these “cheek & cheek” blush palettes out now. They’re sorta new. They’ve been out since April. It’s a dual palette of two fairly high pigmented colors you can mix and match together for one look. They all have a “flower” theme to them as well.

This one is number 03 “Gerbera Kiss.” It was recommended in the recent issue of Used Mix. I got it from Yesstyle.com.
They actually have all 4 shades for sale!!

It’s a great little palette to transition with from summer into fall.

I’ve been hooked on orange shades all summer and most days I still prefer it. But on a few cooler days orange feels strange so I want a pink! These two shades blend flawlessly together as well. They’re not quite as pigmented as some of their other blushes but I think that might be a reason the 2 shades blend so easily. I’d be interested in the other palettes too! They’re small and give you a lot of option on the go.

I’ve always loved the package of Canmake products, it’s such a bummer that YesStyle overcharges for imported Asian cosmetics though. *smh*

It’s hard to find imported makeup in general at a good price unfortunately. Imomoko, Sasa, and Cosmelandusa are often always at least double if not triple yen price as well. Strong yen, weak dollar, it’s lose lose.

I love how it looks on you~ it’s almost TOO pink for my tastes on the model (& to think I was obsessed with bright pink blush just a year ago… )

I’ve always wanted to try out canmake blushes but I was never really sure if they were pigmented enough. I have VERY tan skin so most blushes are invisible xD I think the only blushes I’ve used so far is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy and Benefits’ Posie cheek tint. I need to try Benefit’s new (kinda) cheek tint in Cha Cha (I think that’s what it’s called). It’s a “mango” color which I thought looked ultra cute @ A @

Yeah I understand that, it would be better to try in person before buying etc. I would say their cream blushes are much more pigmented.

Ugh so pretty. I wish I could pull off blushes. I’m so tan that it makes me look really weird if I were to put on blush. :|

I think being tan is a better “look” than blushes anyway. If I don’t wear any color = look like a corpse so they both have their pros/cons xDDv

I love the way you make up. Really flawless, nature, relaxing. If you have time, please make a makeup tutorial. haha

Awe thank you so much~~ ah I don’t really feel comfortable doing tutorials but maybe someday I’ll post the items I wear on a regular basis. It’s just BB Cream, concealer, powder + some color

I love Canmake products! They are cheap and good! I’m definitely going to have to stock up on lots of product before I leave Japan!

PS. The colour looks great on you!

Great idea for sure~~ Hard to find a good US equivalent in quality with same price.

So pretty! How do these compare to their cream blushes in terms of staying power? I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger but not sure which one to get. =\

About the same though less pigmented.

Ahh you do such a great job at making me want so much yesstyle stuff. I’m only reluctant to order from them because I don’t know how much I’d be charged with customs. Blah Canada. :(

Ah sorry to hear that. US customs is usually OK.

It looks great on you!
I love that blush! I been wanting a new blush for a while and I would love to buy one from Anna Sui but I’ll probably buy one from make up store. I think choosing the right color is hard, but I’ll probably need more of an orange color than pink.

Anna Sui blushes are nice & pigmented & smell amazing but building up the color is a challenge. It’s like a colored pumice stone. It’s the only thing I don’t like about her blushes.

I’ve been slowly getting obsessed with blushes!! Oh dear, I really really want to dry Canmake and Candy doll blushes right now. But I’m trying so hard to hold myself back.. And orange/pink blushes look really pretty on you! I think you may have caused this new obsession of mine for blushes..

Blushes are my #1 favorite makeup item. I used to avoid them like the plague but in recent years they are my GO TO item. Most of my daily makeup looks revolve around which shade of blush I’m planning on wearing

I definitely stay active. I walk daily and on weekends I walk for hours through the city plus I enjoy eating healthy alternatives like ground turkey instead of ground beef or light/sugar free/and diet versions of popular foods

It would be so convenient to have that blush palette! You get so many shades out of it, you’d only need one blush

Absolutely! I take my makeup with me into the office every day to do it there and lately I was carrying like 4 different blush palettes (for options to match my attitude that day LOL) and this definitely cuts down on that xDD

Making your own mix is a great thing~ love canmake (most of the time)

It looks pretty light and cute.

Agreed (most of the time.) I few of their items are only “meh” for me like nail polish & lashes.

Ah yesh!!! A much more inexpensive version. The Jill Stuart stuff looks a-maz-ing though and is super high quality.

I’ve been lusting after these blush palates for forever now and am just eagerly waiting to get my grubby hands on them in hk! I wish time would pass by a bit faster! I think pink is suitable for any season and weather but I agree that orange is more of a summer shade but hey, if you can pull it off then go for it! =D
