Delicious Gift

This week the Christmas gift from my parents arrived. It was food so I opened it right away. :hungry: I would have waited if I had know it wasn’t perishable! :deco13: Another very characteristic gift from my parents. Old-fashioned warm handmade gifts that’s usually food! :deco2: I’m extra appreciative this year since I’ve been getting back into folk, natural, kitsch decor and lifestyle again. :ok: They ordered this year’s gifts from Lehmans. It’s a company that started out in 1955 as a hardware store that at first mostly catered to the Amish. They’ve expanded far beyond since then. :deco2:
And hey! My first Le Creuset kitchenware item! BBQ sauces, pancake syrups, and homemade bayberry candles. They also sent a leather belt but it’s not pictured.

**Bayberry has long been associated with the Christmas season. Our rustic, olive-colored bayberry candles are handmade in the traditional way and give off a light, herbal aroma.**
That sounds nice~ I should light them for dinner on Christmas eve but also I want to keep them as decor…

how lovely! and those syrups look delicious! *A*
I’m sure they are, I’m waiting until Christmas to try them :)
So nice! Ok, I love getting gifts anyway, but when a gift is exactly what you want/need (especially when you didn’t know you needed it), it’s perfect! You always seem to find/know about these companies that are small but really, uh…what is the word. Local or like, “MADE IN THE USA” feeling without being overly patriotic. omg idk what I’m saying anymore. Homemade-feelingish? I GIVE UP.
Hahaha what you’re saying makes sense! And I always appreciate when I can buy made in the USA even if it’s a little more. Like last night I purchased some lovely but a little more pricy hair ties but they’re USA made which made me happy. Honestly it probably stems from my father who is very into these sort of companies :)
The packing is really nice. I love these kind of food stuff! American barbecue sauce is something that i never tasted, but i’m willing to. Would you recommend any?
There are soooooooooooooooooo maaaaaaaaany! Haha! So everyone has a favorite. I like Sweet Baby Ray’s but it’s hard to find a BBQ sauce to not like. They all taste just a little bit different :D
blueberry pecan syrup wut! *super jealous
MADE IN OHIO PRIDE
Your sudden reappearance must be so confusing to people who thought you were dead :3
i love old timey stuff!
Agreed~~
They must be delicious! *u* I love different flavored syrups. They’re to die for! And so many prezzies at the back~
Haha yeah, xmas sorta exploded this year under my tree :3
Oh gosh, those syrups would be amazing with crepes x.x if thats your thing ( it definitely is my thing lol)
OOOO you’re right about that!!
I often end up giving food for xmas presents too! But I usually do homemade stuff (I’m a cheeeepo), this year my grandparents get my christmas-marmelade and my best friend is getting a “do it yourself banana cake” where I putted all the ingredients in a basket, ready measured, and with a recipe I hand drawn, lol. She loves my banana cake, now I’m gonna make her do it herself!
Awe that’s really nice though :3
I love Christmas! I love receiving food at Christmas but even better when I make them and give them away. That syrup sounds amazing.
Yeah, it’s great these are more of condiments so I can slowly open and enjoy them throughput the year :)
That is so awesome! I love old-timey foods like those ♥
They’re great at Christmas especially~~
That’s so nice of your parents to send you things that you can use, and things that fit your current tastes in decorating. I hope the candles make a nice light scent when you burn them, the color is very natural!
Christmas for me is always so homey, country, natural style so this feels perfect.
nom nom nom I’d like some of those sauces!! ^___^ Hope you have a happy holiday!!!
I’m trying to resist the urge of opening them all at once in order to just taste them so I can keep them fresh longer xO
Very thoughtful of your parents. :) Happy holidays!
Yea, it’s just better to get me food these days b/c there’s not much I need and you can always use food or flowers!
Such nice Christmas gifts!! The raspberry syrup looks deliciousss! Really pretty pictures in front of the Christmas tree :)
Thank you, I’m still getting a feel for my new Pen EPL2 camera :)

The fiance and I also got some Le Creuset for Christmas – a big casserole dish…that I can’t even lift haha. We’ve asked for the size down as I’d never be able to use it XD
