Sunday in an Orchard

Sunday Mike & I went to a local Orchard. They actually do a lot of business through Mike’s office so he knows more of the back-story behind this family owned farm. Sadly he told me the grandfather had recently passed and it explains why there were less “picking” fields planted this year. That’s really hard. I think it’s important to patron these family owned farms! Support them! The fruits are on par with grocery store prices but you KNOW it’s fresh! You just picked it! :good: Not to mention it gets you out and gives you something to do that’s relaxing/quiet.

We went to the “Summer Flowers” field. Many of the flowers have bloomed & gone but there’s a huge field of late summer Sunflowers ready to bloom!! Maybe by next weekend it’ll be a field of yellow
