Mountain Day Trip!

*WAVING FEROCIOUSLY* Hello, Hello! :sparkleup: Gah, there’s so much I want to blog about but this week was just really busy with Dr. appointments and everything. Then this weekend I did some serious retail therapy plus I dined out for all but 1 meal (tonight’s dinner.) Ah, it was a weekend of excess, I dunno~! Was fun while it lasted

Last weekend we went up to the Shenandoah mountains for a lovely day trip. It’s a couple hours drive but they’ve got great lodges there that serve delicious food plus the added bonus of gorgeous surroundings. Wanted to post some snaps. We went to some closer mountains this weekend but I didn’t bring a camera But the leaves this weekend were much more vivid in autumn colors! Last weekend things were still a bit green.

This is at the lodge’s dining hall :good: There are 2 main lodges here, this one is called Big Meadows Lodge. We arrived right at lunch time so we were able to get a table overlooking the rolling hills!

This is actually Turkey Pot Pie! I love that it’s not in actual “pie form” but instead this sort of inside-out deal. Tastes exactly the same, actually better!
