Rinka x Sweet Love T-Shirt

I should really change my perspective on the trials and tribulations of having SO MUCH I want to blog about. :P It’s more of a blessing than a curse probably. :ok:
So a few weeks ago my Rinka x Sweet charity t-shirt I blogged about arrived! I’m quite pleased~~!! :deco2: :deco2: It’s so hard to get Rinka shirts or even Rinka collab items. But because this one had no “sold out” maximum it was easy! :ok: The graphic is an iron-on-like image of Sweet’s May Rinka cover: :arrow:
I was hoping it would fit a bit more, well, fitted. But I wasn’t really expecting it to. :deco13: There were only 2 sizes made. M and L. So I went with M. Wish they had put out an S but can’t bitch too much. It’s for a good cause and it’s lovely :deco5: :)
Sadly Rinka has disappeared from her blog. Something’s definitely up. :drops: Her last real post was in April. Then a month later she posted gratitude for all the concerned emails but that she needed to rest a bit longer. :drops: My gut instinct is “pregnant.”:x I’ve been checking Japanese entertainment news when I can but nothing has come out. Could just be in need of a long break. Her 38th birthday took place during this hiatus.

SERIOUSLY AS I WROTE THIS IT WAS ANNOUNCED RINKA IS 5 MONTHS PREGNANT!

So. Yeah. I miss all my Rinka inspo. Not just fashion but her blog always cheered me up. She lives life in such an honest way IMO. And I get courage from her blog sometimes when I need it. :)

She got married to a man who’s in the business of construction about a year and a half ago after dating for 8 years. She keeps his identity a secret :)

No one knows what her husband looks like LOL but I’m sure it’ll be lovely. Funnily enough my BFF is pregnant too. Just found out a few weeks ago so LOTS of baby news in my world right now.

I had a feeling she was preggers when you first tweeted how she hadn’t updated her blog in a while… idk, I’m happy for her but also kinda sad because she was one of those role models I liked who were still childless, haahaa XD I feel like she didn’t ‘fight the power’~ you know, the must get married && have kids asap thing *fail*
I’m sorta torn. A few months ago I would have felt the same. Exactly the same. But recently my closest friend found out she was pregnant (they were wanting a baby for 2 years now) and it’s sorta put me into a different mindset when it comes to this sorta brave new world of babies.
I WANT THAT SWEATER, it looks cute baggy, its very on trend ;)
I’ve really collected quite a number of cardi’s since last summer :)
i dont check her blog everyday but when i do it’s a lovely blog
i think she looks cute with or without make up :D

I wanted that shirt! But alas, paying shipping would’ve been too expensive. It looks super cute on you though.
I remember when she announced her marriage on tv. That was such a shock because everybody thought she’d be unwed forever. She did look lovely in her wedding dress though. And now they’re going to have a baby! I’m so glad to see her happy.
Shipping & service fees really just… ugh. I hate that I had to use the service I used but there weren’t many other options for such a special order item. Sigh~~~
Ah yeah! I read all about her past! She was labeled as cursed to date b/c your career would begin to fail! After everything I understand why she keeps her husband’s identity on the DL.

Yeah, she isn’t sure yet. Right now she’s just concentrating on trying to stay well & strong according to her recent entry. I wonder too. Because she’s quite an independent model and not tied to any specific magazine. She has that TV show though too.
Good! I was worried. I’m sure she will be back to blogging once everything is returns to normal. I always wondered what age I should have my kids, but I’m way too young to be thinking about babies and the thought actually scares me to pieces. As for Rinka, I wish her happiness for this new chapter in her life! I bet she will look twice as beautiful.
Yeah I’m putting that decision off until I’m 30 LOL

HOLY boy was I surprised to hear she was pregnant. Congrats to her! And I had no idea she was 38!! I knew she was in her 30’s but I assumed early 30’s… she looks gorgeous for 38! I hope i’m still so good looking when i’m nearly 40!

Awww I LOVE when JP models have babies…they seem so strong to have a baby AND keep their professions going….I think even though they may be young on our terms (definitely not on theirs), they are still good role models. Esp if they start new businesses and campaigns like many models tend to do after they “mature”. Instead of quitting and going into hiding, they make something of their new life- like starting children’s lines or helping mama mags/tv shows….It’s a new booming market after all! Congrats to her ;) It’s going to be a beautiful little family!
I must admit I was so happy when Rinka got married. At 38 she is sorta an idol and role model of mine on how to balance a youthful spirit but mature lifestyle.
PS. I just read her blog entry ;A; SO SAD. I’m soooo glad she’s finally having a healthy baby!! What a long journey it’s been for her…and now she has new hope! Now I’m even more happy for her ♥
I hold my breathe for her, in & out of the hospital, I hope the next few months go well for her~

btw, talking about how you always get ispo from rinka’s blog, i always turn to your blog for inspiration. because your blog is so positive, i would use exactly the same words to describe it that you used to describe rinka’s. you live life in a honest way, it cheers me up, inspires me and gives me courage :)

I do have a question about SMJ though; about how much was the shipping for it? I’m trying to see if its worth using it to order a bag or find another shopping service.
If possible go with some other service like Tenso or if you can buy it through Rakuten. SMJ is frustrating and expensive because they do special orders. Basically for me it’s a sorta last resort service because they’ll buy you ANYTHING from ANY site including pre-orders which is difficult to find in a service. But you’ll end up paying 3 times the original price with all the shipping & service fees added in.
Its from the Popteen shop. I looked at Tenso, but It doesn’t help that what I want doesn’t have a weight on it so I would have to estimate the weight for it. And I wouldnt want to spend $45 just on shipping.
Hmmm, well it’s best to assume shipping would be at least $20 for Japan to US then add on like $5~$10 for US shipping to your front door. Also SMJ charges a $10 “special order fee.” Every time I’ve used them it’s been between double the original cost of the item to triple lately because the US Dollar is so weak.
Thats going to be really expensive. I wish there was a cheaper way.

Hmm, yeah Ai Otsuka did that too. She has just vanished! I wish they would still be active like Izumi Ikeda. She still blogs, she just switched to modeling for mommy magazines(Ninas).
I saw that the other day! She even has a Nina’s blog now!! :DDD
Well I don’t know about Ai, but Rinka updated her blog later after the announcement saying she has had miscarriages in the past and is currently in & out of the hospital with this pregnancy. Saying said she would update her blog except all she does is eat & sleep so it wouldn’t be interesting. She’s basically bedridden at the moment. :( Hopefully Ai isn’t in the same position.
