A long overdue makeup post.
I regret not doing one before my Japan trip. :deco13: I had a lot less eyeshadow (I only had Naked 2 & the Shu palettes for a while,) but also had a few new things that I’ve since finished such as my Paul & Joe pressed powder. This is all of my current makeup. I swap out shadows weekly depending on my mood. Blush as well. Sometimes I get really obsessed with a certain combination or look but that hasn’t really been the case in recent months so the variety suits my tastes right now.
I haven’t picked up much new since Japan. Instead I’ve been using what I have and hitting pan left & right. :) Then there are my holy grail items I’ve been repurchasing for years like Benefit’s Get Even Powder.

Definitely a brown natural theme going on!
I’m amazed that lots of people still rave about the Naked 2 palette.
A question: Does the Chanel rouges’ color last?
My problem with lipstick is that it doesn’t last on me.
Are they worth a try? Or you’re in love with the shade and reapply them when necessary?
Since buying my first Chanel lipstick it’s the only brand I buy now. After buying my first Chanel lipstick I purged 99% of my entire previous lip collection :)
I think it depends on what you like in a lipstick. The color stay is good, the shades there but not overpowering and they play well with adding a lip balm/gloss on top. I suggest (if you can) giving them a try at a Chanel counter. They have testers :)
BTW do you use a lipstick base? I used to have to use one from CANMAKE to get Mac lipsticks to stay. There are a few on the market now.
I sorta regret buying the Naked 2 palette. I forgot that I wasn’t much of a fan of UD shadows after trying lots of brands and guess I thought maybe the quality had gotten better. Oh well~ I’ll probably pawn it off on my sister eventually.

I haven’t used lipstick base. I didn’t know such thing existed, so I’ll do a bit of research to know what arrives to Mexico. XD;

how do you like the brow wiz? is the staying power good? the normal anastasia brow pencil smudges on me so easily. i look like i have blurry eyebrows ~_~
I’ve never used their basic pencil. The brow wiz is my HG for 1 reason only, color match. I have a hard time finding a good color match since my natural hair color is a light brown/dark blonde but my brows are jet black. This helps lighten them some while filling in as well. I’ve tried an array of pencils and this one has decent staying power through sweat/rainy days. Nothing extraordinary though. My only complaint is that it runs out pretty quickly (if you use it daily.) I’ve purchased this multiple times :)

Almost every day. I sometimes skip on Sundays out of laziness. I posted my tools in my previous makeup post. They’re mostly the same except I have an electric curler now & a foundation brush I sometimes use for full coverage (not daily though.)

Oh my god, the Revlon Lip Butters are sublime, just picked up the one in Peach Parfait & the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush. Absolutely amazing textures.
I had the Peach one last year! It’s amazing how great this product is. I especially love them for outings because I can apply them easily without a mirror.
I want to try the Lip Butters but they contain BHT….I’m really fussy about ingredients in makeup and skincare :)
Only use what you’re comfortable with!

The Majolica Majorca blushes are so cute! I recently just bought the Majolica Majorca lash king mascara but I have yet to try it!

I love Chanel Rouge Coco shine. My HG is the Romance color. They make nice gifts too!

I stopped wearing heavy lipsticks last year until I bought Mademoiselle from Chanel. It’s why I purged so much of my lip collection down to a select few. But the Lip Butters are so easy to apply without a mirror I tend to use them often still! Same with the Coco shine. Easy on :D

It’s awesome to see the evolution of your makeup case over the years. It’s funny since I’ve been a follower of your blog for a few years now and it seems that you transitioned from a “pop”-ish style with some gyaru influences to something much more mature and elegant! :D

I’ve been thinking of buying the Benefit get even powder, it feels so soft in store! Do you like how it sits throughout the day?
you keep all your products so nice and clean and neat! i always manage to get foundation or mascara on the outside of the packaging :S woops!
Yeah it’s a pretty good powder. I’m really, really, really limited on powders because I break out easily & need a crazy light shade. This one color matches my skintone well, doesn’t break me out, and provides good coverage that lasts at least 8 hours. I did actually prefer my Paul & Joe powder but it was a limited edition so I’m back to Benefit now that I’ve run out. :)

Also, which brown mascara do you think is the best?
I’ve seen both the pink brown mascara and majo mascara around, but idk about fiberwig.
I got the Love Switch x Sweet while in Japan this year.
My favorite brown mascara is Love Switch’s original Pink Brown.
Sadly all these brown mascaras are very different. Love Switch’s original is decent lengthening and volume plus easy to remove and light brown color. Fiberwig’s is super lengthening only and easy to remove and much darker close to black. Majolica Majorca’s is super voluminizing, lengthening, and a medium brown but hard as heck to remove.
I love your make up collection posts so much ! I remembered how amazed I was when I saw the first one on you blog. It’s a really good idea to keep an overview on the make up items one loves most. I’m inspired to do such a make up collection post of my own make up.
You should definitely do it! Like I said I regret not doing it sooner like every 6 months or something :)
