Oktoberfest Sunday

On Sunday there was a local Oktoberfest. Ate some bratwurst, caramel corn, and walked around. The weather was perfect. An amazing clear autumn day. Cool but not chilly.

Lebkuchen! It’s like a baked soft gingerbread with sweet icing decoration.
They started selling these at the festival a few years ago. Apparently they’re from some German bakery in Va but I’ve never visited it.
I bought some cinnamon black tea to enjoy with the sweet! Great combination since lebkuchen is a bit on the dry side.

I had today off work for Columbus Day. I did my best to stay UN-BUSY.
I haven’t really been around online much. Usually when I have a holiday like this I end up busting ass to clean the house or run errands but I really need some “breaks” so I mostly napped today. Did return something to H&M tonight though, and did a few loads of laundry. Oh well

Weekend Shopping

Thank you everyone who entered the giveaway!! You guys really make it a lot of fun! The winner has been contacted. If for any reason they can’t claim the prize I’ll do another random selection.

So I hope everyone’s weekend went well. Busy holiday week coming up, ね!? Friday so many people were already on vacation so the trains were empty!
We went out and did a little bit of shopping before full on Christmas shopping kicks into high gear.
Went to Tyson’s Saturday morning. They finally opened the new conveyor belt sushi place. It’s in the most awkward area IMO, hahaaaahahaaaaa.
But I do like the vivid blue tables! The signs sorta made it look like it would be a fancier place but it’s pretty… boring, aesthetically? Oh well~ It’s 1: mall food, 2: conveyor belt sushi (which is as casual as it gets.)

I got the latest Urban Outfitters catalog this week and noticed two things. 1: They’re not so hard to be all… hipster, or whatever and many of their coordinates looked wearable (finally!) like they USED TOO. 2: WTF THESE PRICES! It’s about time! Their prices had dropped significantly. Looks like targeting rich teens with mommy’s credit card wasn’t workin’ for them anymore?! Ok, Ok, harsh, but still. Their prices had gotten ridiculously inflated! Now they were looking… a bit normal! So I went to check them out and sure enough I found stuff there that was cheaper than things I saw at Old Navy that day. BOUT TIME, BOUT TIME. And anything that still had an overpriced tag had been marked down near 50%. I was wanting to get some reconstructed shorts but they were all too big. I did find a super cute Mickey shirt! I loved that it had longer short sleeves with stripes on it
So of course I didn’t get them.
Tried on a Barefoot Dreams hoody at Nordstrom’s. They don’t carry Rinka’s line, but I found some online places that do. So I went to try these ones on for sizing! Gosh, soooooooo soft! Mike braved the evil sales lady so I could try it on. She was such a lurker! Asking me if I needed help and giving me her opinions on it AS IF I CARED, GEEZ. I know, they’re just trying to make the sale but I already said they didn’t have the color I wanted. So I made her watch me take this photo of me wearing it, LOL.

Later that night we did our Thanksgiving dinner shopping. The grocery store didn’t have any pumpkin pie mix! So Mike suggested the Super K-Mart might have it and it was right next door. Well, they didn’t, but they did have room wear on sale! I got this Joe Boxer flannel romper for $7.00! It’s got ruffles, and snaps, and is really cute! I’ve always loved Joe Boxer. When I was in High School they made cool boy-style girls underwear (I was a total tomboy) that I’d wear. They were more expensive then though *cough.* So I don’t care if they’re some K-Mart line now! They still come out with great stuff that often goes on 50% sales, so whatevssssssssss!

I tried that new Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte this morning. It’s pretty good. I got a short, nonfat, no whip (so only 160kcal instead of 260kcal.) Last Thursday Mike bought us some of the cold drink Starbucks cups with the holiday straw. It’s so cute!! It keeps drinks cold for a while so I put soda in it, LOL. He always gets an iced Americano so he takes his to the cafe for filling. Useful :good:

I love my house in winter, I think it’s a winter house~ it always looks prettiest lit of with warm candles and cluttered with fuzzy slippers and blankets.
Oh, Wii Fit Update! I’m still loving it! I’ve actually lost another 2lbs on it
I’m just looking to maintain my current weight but I guess it really does burn that fat! HAHAHAAA. I’ve been using my Calorie Off socks with it too, just to use them. Maybe they’re to blame? LOL DOUBT IT. Mike’s lost a few pounds too. Who knew it actually worked, YAY

CALORIE OFF SOCKS + WII FIT!
OK, I’m off to get ready for bed and watch Dexter!
Tomorrow’s Mike’s birthday too! So, celebrations all week!!
