Some New Makeup

I got the new Urban Decay “All Nighter” makeup setting spray and Benefit’s High Beam last weekend.

I’ve tried High Beam in a sample and loved it. Finally bought a tube of it because the “to go” version fits in my daily makeup bag better. It’s lovely for winter & Christmas I think! Gorgeous shine on my dull winter cheek skin .

UD’s All Nighter is new to me! So far…
It’s pretty damn good!

Screw using a primer! This works just as good if not better. Last week one night at 10pm I told Mike. Look at my makeup! He said, “wow, it looks like you just put it on, haha!” Well it did. I do think it works better on heavier make or maybe just outdoors? It stood up amazingly last Saturday when I wore BB Cream and was running around the city. At work though I’d say it performs just as well as using a primer does. I still got a tad oily and used a blotting sheet at 2:00. Maybe I should up the sprays from 2 to 4? Or maybe it’s because I’m wearing simpler makeup during the week of just concealer, powder, and blush? Still figuring out the best methods for prime results! And did I mention so far no breakouts from this? I have my suspicions that Smashbox’s Photo Finish Light primer causes me a few pimples sometimes.

I actually wanted to try Dew Me because I’ve got dry winter skin or even the De-Slick oil-control setting spray but Sephora only had the original in stock which is fine. I have a sample size tube of De-Slick I want to try first anyway.

However this week I did have a sorta break out but I know the culprit. I broke out on my chin over Thanksgiving. I was away from any Sephora and just picked up a Maybelline cream concealer cover stick. Well I was loving it but realized this week it was breaking me out. I finally noticed when I got zits on my face where I never get zits AND had happened to have been using the concealer to even out skin tone in that area. *sigh* I have a liquid concealer but it doesn’t work well for covering breakouts. My usual cream concealer doesn’t exist anymore *cries.* So today I bought Clinique’s Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer! I would have bought it a long time ago but I haven’t had a stubborn breakout like this in a long time! I already use nearly ever other product from the Clinique Acne line! no joke! LIKE EVERY PRODUCT. I also bought the Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel since these zits are being incredibly stubborn.

I tested out the concealer today but I’ll know better next week how well I like it.

I also bought foundation from Victoria’s Secret today! Why? Because I use their liquid concealer and love it and it doesn’t break me out so I’m hoping the foundation doesn’t either!

Again, just bought it this morning. I tested it out tonight. Gonna mix it with my moisturizer so it’s not such thick coverage. I tried their tinted moisturizers but they didn’t match my skin enough. Looking forward to trying these out. I was able to successfully 100% cover my break out You can still see a bit of the bump of 1 of the zits but it at least blends in color-wise now. I don’t like using my BB Cream over breakouts because it doesn’t help any in clearing it up. It often makes it take longer to clear my skin up. My skin needs to breath~ I didn’t wear makeup all weekend except tonight when I tried out the new stuff.

I received the December issue of SCawaii this weekend from a different seller this time. This seller shipped it quite nicely and it arrived in mint condition Just wanted to counter-act all the ranting from the last entry with some positivity!
