Bingsoo, I Love You

Monday, July 4th, 2011 | 54 Comments

Saturday after a BBQ I went to Shilla Bakery for some Bingsoo~ It was 95 degrees out plus humid so this was EXACTLY what I needed. This particular time it was extraordinarily good! Every time I go it’s different depending on seasonal fruits & who’s working. This one was extra kiwi + watermelon which are my favorite fruit toppings PLUS plenty of cinnamon granola and crunchy corn flakes and giant chunks of mochi! Did I mention I had to eat it on my own??? Mike doesn’t like it so I basically felt I was gonna barf bingsoo for the rest of the day.

Tank, Shorts - H&M
Shoes - Target
Tote - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Star Necklace - Forever21
Rosary Necklace - REVROSSA CLARITY

I’ve worn this jade polish so often I’m nearly out and the color is discontinued fml. Next time I see a bottle I’ll need to snag it.

Happy Fourth of July fellow Americans
Anyone seeing fireworks?? I can sorta see some local ones from my house if I want to *lucky*

The bingsoo looks absolutely delicious! I must have some…
I’m running low on nail polish here too ~ any good colors you could recommend?
& Happy Fourth of July to you too, Jenny! Are you doing anything special today?

jenny said
July 4, 2011 @ 8:35 pm

Well this jade is really popular this summer and I get a lot of compliments from it & the shade is pretty easy to find right now. I also really loved my OPI “Once a Cheetah” sparkle orange polish. BUT right now my two favorites are jade and a classic vibrant red.

I’m doing doing much special this year for July 4th, I dunno why. I feel sorta burned out =Y

I live in a neighborhood that unfortunately allows you to shoot fireworks. It’s amazing…but it gets annoying because my neighbors would shoot them for the entire week.

Mmmm!~ The bingsoo looks mighty delicious! I haven’t gone out at all. I feel like a bum. T_T I hope you have a wonderful fourth of July! ^___^

An entire week?! Ah, my old home it was only allowed for 3 days and thankfully people obeyed it pretty well.

FROYO xDDD Yeah this version I order is a lot like just plain non-fat froyo but with korean bingsoo style added

mmm bingsu, the love of my life during summer!!! i love bingsu with icecream and cereal things on it (and fresh fruit, of course, but that’s a given).

i have a really similar colour to your jade polish on my toes right now! hm it’s not fast dry but i’ll try to pick you up a bottle anyway~

jenny said
July 5, 2011 @ 9:41 am

I wasn’t sure how to spell it LOL. Korean doesn’t seem to have a 1 to 1 romaji like Japanese?? Bingsoo, bing soo, bingsu? I’ll stick to “bingsu” since you wrote it that way!

Awe you don’t have to waste time & money on me lovely xDDDD!!!

I’ve never had bingsoo. Actually, I’ve never even heard of it. I’ll have to see if they have it at the Shilla I go to!
The lady actually remembered me and my bf, probably because the two of us buy more bread than two people need in a month each time

jenny said

They should! I heard they have it at every Shilla I go to the one in Rockville~~

Gosh that looks delicious!

I love your rosary necklace. Seeing it reminds me that I have to go out and find another nice one because I was stupid and wore the old one out on a hot day… and then the metal turned into a gross rusty colour. T_T

omg that looks soooooooo delish *0* I’ve finally visited the ONLY frozen yoghurt parlour in my city (kinda new-ish) last week and omg, now I totally understand your love of mochi bits *0* so so SOOOO delish and addicting! such a lovely yummy sweet and chewy piece of heaven in each bite of yoghurt~~ Hahaha, I love kiwi and cereal and mango ….bombs?? in mine too. I can’t really remember what the mango thingy was called - they’re essentially small balls of mango juice that pop once you bite them omnomnom~ -stomach grumbles- damn now I’ve made myself hungry again….
